A wall collapsed Sunday night as firefighters knocked down a fire at the Verdugo Rancho Supermarket in Glassell Park.

The fire destroyed the 5,000-square-foot building at 3344 North Verdugo Rd. Crews responded to the fire at about 9 p.m. and declared a knockdown about two hours later.

Fire burned through the roof of the market, which was closed. A camera crew captured the collapse of a wall.

Details regarding a cause were not immediately available.
