WATCH: Van Damme Does a Split Between Two Moving Trucks

“Muscles From Brussels” proves he’s as nimble as ever at 53.

A split from Jean-Claude Van Damme in the late ‘80s was as common as a Muppets TV special or Hulk Hogan ripping his T-shirt into pieces.

But 30 years later, at 53, Van Damme, the star of such cult action classics “Bloodsport” and “Black Eagle” could prove he’s just as spry as ever.

In an advertisement for Volvo’s dynamic steering, Van Damme stands on the rear-view mirror of two trucks that slowly begin to separate. The result is one "epic split," as its described in the video.

“I've had my ups and downs," Van Damme says, as Enya’s “Only Time” plays in the background. “My fair share of bumpy roads and heavy winds. That's what made me what I am today.”

Soon enough, Van Damme is in full split as the massive trucks drive down a runway. According to the video, the “test” was “set up to demonstrate the stability and precision of Volvo Dynamic steering” and was carried out by professionals in a warded off location. Volvo said that only safety equipment was removed digitally in the video and that the stunt is otherwise genuine.

Van Damme, who played the main baddie in last year’s “The Expendables 2” will appear in “Enemies Closer” with Orlando Jones and and Tom Everett Scott next month.
