Man Found Dead in Orange County Motel Room

Police have launched a homicide investigation after a 61-year-old man was found dead Saturday morning in a Stanton motel room, officials said.

At approximately 10:16 a.m., Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call after a motel employee found the victim's body inside a room at the Chester Inn Motel, located at the 10000 block of Beach Boulevard.

The victim suffered numerous traumatic injuries and bled, officials said.

The victim's identification is not being released and no additional information is available, officials said.

The investigation is ongoing.
