To raise money for a program to feed and shelter the homeless, the pastor of a Sacramento church lived like the people he was trying to help. Rick Cole lived on the streets for two weeks, spending his days looking for food and searching for places to sleep at night. "I think I began to experience how people ignore others," Cole said. "People walked by me like I didn't exist."
