Hockey found a home in Anaheim, now another cool sport is sweeping into Orange County: Two local hockey rinks are hosting a curling league
"Before these Olympics, no one knew what curling was," George Estrada, a manager at Anaheim Ice, told the OC Register. "Now, everyone's inquiring about it, so we've created the first curling league in Orange County."
Anaheim Ice is partnering with Westminster Ice to create the league. A page on the OC Curling website has information about the sport -- like Curling 101 -- and registration.
The program includes an eight-game series. Games are Saturdays at 9:30 p.m.
