If you thought the iPad couldn't get any more magical, think again. There is a hot new accessory for it that is raising eyebrows on the web.
It's a device called ClamCase - an all in one keyboard, case and stand that basically turns your iPad into a laptop and much more.
Once you connect your iPad to the device, you get the best of both worlds: the ease of a touch screen combined with the functionality of a full keyboard!
The device features a Bluetooth keyboard that wirelessly connects with your iPad to let you type out emails and messages with ease. Since it's Bluetooth, you 30-pin connector stays free so you can connect other devices or keep your iPad plugged in. You can also connect the keyboard to other devices you might have in your home such as the Playstation 3 or TiVo.
The ClamCase has a unique design that lets you use it a few ways thanks to a 360-hinge. You can keep it open to use the keyboard, close it to protect your iPad (and screen!) from falls, dust and dirt or flip it all the way back so your iPad keeps its tablet styling.
A rubber grip lets you make your iPad stand up so you can easily watch movies or use your iPad as a digital frame.
The device will be available in the Fall. So far, there's no price announced, but the company behind it says it will be competitive.
