A pop-up Beatles bus cruised into LA on Tuesday, Nov. 13. The reason? The celebrate the vinyl release of 14 remastered albums.

The Beatles, you won't be surprised to learn, have slipped the usual bounds of music-group greatness and entered the land of legend in myriad ways. People study the most famous band of all time's songwriting secrets or craftsmanship, of course, but fans drill down further discussing how the Fab Four's haircuts and Sgt. Pepper uniforms impacted style.

Here's another course of study: The Beatles and transport. There's the famous photo of them disembarking from a plane, there's the train-chasing scene in "A Hard Day's Night," and, of course, there's a certain submarine.

And now? The double-decker Beatles Bus. There were no Beatles aboard when it rolled into Los Angeles on Tuesday, Nov. 13, but there was a surplus of Beatles-based goodness, in the form of 14 newly remastered studio albums. Yep, the bus was announcing the release of the much-buzzed-about mega mondo Beatles vinyl box set, and, nope, you didn't need to come across the double-decker to purchase it. It's available now, just in time for Christmas, Hanukkah, or Thanksgiving, if you simply can't wait.

Oh wait. Did we say vinyl a sentence or two ago? We did indeed. Remember vinyl? We know, it got hip and whatnot with small pressings in recent years, but if you haven't heard "Magical Mystery Tour" or "Across the Universe" recently, via wax, while poring over the album's artwork, your day has come.

Beep beep mmm beep beep mmm yeah, is all we can say to that.

The box set also includes a book, the "White Album" poster, and other mop-toppy goodies.

And if you did happen to see the double-decker on its Nov. 13 roll, you might have been in Santa Monica or downtown. Lucky you. Don't you wish the Beatles Bus could just toodle around our streets all day, bringing cheer and blasting "Penny Lane" from a loud speaker? Someone please make this happen. Apple? You there?
