SIPS AND SHOWS: The Third Annual San Diego Spirits Festival isn't merely a way to find a new favorite beverage or gawk as top-flight mixologists go mixer-to-muddler in a battle for bartending glory. There are also cultural to-dos -- three Golden State bands'll play each day of the two-day festival, and aerialists and other buskers will perform -- to enjoy. The spot is the water-close Port Pavilion, which is located on Broadway Pier. And the dates? Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26.
TICKET INFORMATION: An advance one-day admission is $60. Beyond cheering on cutting-edge bartenderery, and sampling libations, festival goers will learn about "the most exciting trends in cocktailing." Meaning a lot of brand representatives and label honchos will be on the premises. And, of course, we say this is "Worth the Drive," but you'll be sure to line up your favorite soda-sipping driver, or a cab to your hotel, yes? Yes. Get more information on the sophisticated sipping that'll be going down waterside.
