Join the City of Alhambra, the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association as they celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival from September 12 through October 1.
The Alhambra Moon Festival will consist of a variety of activities based in Chinese culture, such as, meeting and taking photos with the legendary Chang’e dance characters and stilt walkers, attending an art exhibit at City Hall and taking part in a tea ceremony. In ancient China, emperors worshipped the harvest moon on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, as they believed the practice would bring them a good harvest the following year.
