NBC4 Southern California was honored by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the California Chicano News Media Association with the "Presidential Media Award" for the station's commitment to the Latino community.
The station will be presented with the award at the annual CCNMA NAHJ Scholarship Banquet on June 10, 2016.
This year, the Los Angeles chapters of CCNMA and NAHJ announced the two groups would merge to form a strategic partnership to better serve its members. Both groups provide services and support for Latino journalists and media professionals, and also work to ensure the fair and accurate representation of Latinos by the news media.
