It doesn't matter what corner of the cosmos you're currently in, or upon what moon, or if you're on a ship or visiting friends in Cloud City: Every day is "Star Wars" Day, in your heart, if you want it to be.
Really, it's always "Star Wars" Day, in a sense, if you spend time thinking of a favorite character, or rewatching Episode V, or sewing your Wampa costume for Comic-Con International.
But as far as calendar-observed holidays go, the fact of the truth of the real matter is this: May the fourth, as in "May the fourth be with you," is "Star Wars" Day.
Disputable, this is not, as Yoda might say.
So unhand your fake fur -- the one going into your Wampa get-up -- and plan to spend at least a bit of May the fourth honoring the vast universe that began a long, long time ago in a galaxy far away.
Disneyland Resort, it will not surprise you, will be honoring May the fourth with a veritable Falcon full of fan-fun activities. "Shroud of Darkness," the "Star Wars Rebels" episode, will screen at Tomorrowland Theater, and an evening gathering at the Galactic Grill will feature "Star Wars" trivia.
Snapshot opportunities, "other special surprises," and a chance to purchase collector glasses (with purchase) will fill out the Tomorrowland-centered celebration.
If you're nearer to Carlsbad, you can swing by LEGOLAND and eye the "Star Wars" models, including the foreboding, brick-mazing Death Star.
And if Death Valley National Park is your jam? Stop by and snap a pic where the Sandcrawler Station scenes were filmed in Episode IV (as well as several other desert-y moments).
There's more fan goodness ahead, in general, at Comic Book Store Day on Saturday, May 7. A mondo "Star Wars" convention in is on in London this summer, and, of course, Comic-Con'll bring the Wookiee-style spirit in July.
May the fourth be with you!
