The wee hill that's home to the Hollyhock House is in one of our favorites. You have favorite hills around the city, too? We all should have a place that allows us to be above the bustle, if only for a night.
The Hollyhock House, and Barnsdall Art Park, is very much bustle-adjacent, seeing how you can walk up Vermont from there, or into Hollywood. And when any peaceful, bustle-adjacent spot turns its Friday nights over to wine pouring, as Barnsdall does in the summertime, we pull out the calendar and mark the dates with a star.
The Barnsdall Friday Wine Tastings kick off on Friday, June 4. Silverlake Wine will be pouring and Let's Be Frank will be frankfurtering. Time is 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 in advance. We'll stress the "in advance" part because if memory serves, tickets fly for these things. Of course. Seeing as how they're bustle relievers and all.
