Culver City: After nearly two years of setbacks and delays at Le Saint Amour, Bruno and Florence Herve-Commereuc's new brasserie is—dare we say—finally nearing completion. At this point, the only thing standing in the way of the Angelique Cafe spinoff is one last health inspection, and assuming it goes favorably, we can expect a debut in the next 15 days. As you see from the decor, it pretty much mimics a chic Parisian cafe with wooden tables, plush red booths, mirrored walls, and the like. The menu leans heavily on authentic, yet affordable French dishes (a version is now online), and so far as the bar is concerned, they are planning to have a regular full menu at lunch and plates (charcuterie, cheeses et al.) during the evening hours. Stay tuned...
