CRAFT-LOVER'S PARADISE: In Los Angeles, we love a beautiful craft.
A bright, silk-screened throw pillow. A one-of-a-kind handbag. A creepy/cute stuffed animal for our best friend's kid. You know the stuff.
And for this love of craft there is a single, plentiful destination one should aim their GPS toward. The Renegade Craft Fair, with its jury-selected roster of artists (more than 200 of 'em), will satisfy this need for pillows, bags and gifts, not to mention jewelry, stationery, clothing and countless other things to make one's surroundings delightful, hip and pretty.
Having earned its street cred in Wicker Park and Brooklyn, the Renegade Craft Fair will be up and running for its second annual LA appearance this Saturday and Sunday, July 24 and 25.
FREE, IN THE CORN FIELD: The two-day event is 100% free to attend, features food, entertainment and workshops (lots!), and will be held in Los Angeles State Historic Park (aka The Cornfield) at 1245 N. Spring Street. More info at www.renegadecraft.com/los-angeles.
