Good news for lovers of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe's style: A slew of major retailers -- from Neiman Marcus to Saks Fifth Avenue -- have picked up the celebrity stylist's first-ever collection for Fall.
According to WWD, the complete list of retailers stocking the collection -- which includes clothing, handbags, and shoes -- includes Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales, Shopbop.com and New York boutique Kirna Zabete. The wares are set to hit shelves in July.
She's made a name for herself knowing what looks great, but when it came to what sells, WWD reports Zoe got a considerable amount of retail education from Neiman Marcus fashion director Ken Downing:
“I really put myself into what he was saying, and I really listened, and I don’t listen to anyone,” she explained. “He said, ‘I get these really heavy coats, and they’re fabulous and luxurious for people that live in, like, Iceland or, like, Antarctica, but the reality is you really can only wear them for four weeks because the climates are so messed up.’ It’s hot everywhere ... We made some changes.”
The collection's debut in stores will time nicely with the debut of the fourth season of Zoe's Bravo reality series, The Rachel Zoe Project, also in July.
And next on the horizon: jewelry -- and it can't come soon enough. Launch is set for fall 2012 but Zoe told WWD: “I wish it were for spring ... I am dying to do jewelry. I’m gagging.”
