Free Gavin Rossdale Show

Normally one has to chat with the boss about slipping out of work a few minutes early to make a major, gotta-look-for-parking-and-find-my-friends concert, not a few minutes late. But when Gavin Rossdale picks up his guitar at the Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live on Wednesday, March 25, it'll be coffee-and-bagels time, not the typical after-work hours. The former Bush rocker (and Gwen's main squeeze) is playing the free show to support Donate Life, which brings attention to importance of signing up to be an organ donor when you're at the DMV. Radio station 104.3 is putting it on, KTLA will be there, and the whole thing will be mighty rocking for 8:30AM.

In fact, we can't really think when we last rocked out at 9AM, or before noon. This seems like the morning to change that, and for a very good cause, too. If you do plan on attending, best leave extra early -- you'll be heading into downtown on a weekday morning, which can get bustling to say the least -- and snag your plum parking spot before the crowds roll in. The Original Pantry's within walking distance; we'd probably settle in with some pre-dawn pancakes, and our iPod set to Rossdale.
