PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- The Palm Springs Animal Shelter is waiving the adoption fee on all shelter pets through the end of December, it was announced Monday.
Adopters will still be responsible for reimbursement of spay/neuter and city dog license fees.
The shelter, located at 4810 Camino Parocela, will also be extending its adoption hours on the weekend before Christmas: remaining open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Dec, 20, and from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. the following day.
The shelter is normally open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon.
