We find Fashion Week to be a gas, but unless you know someone who knows someone, getting into the good stuff is just a smidge tricky. But we can get into Vroman's Bookstore tonight, and we can enjoy Mr. Isaac Mizrahi at the podium. The ebullient and funny designer is there to tell us all how to have style, which also happens to be the name of his new book he is currently on tour promoting.
"How to Have Style" is sure to have Mizrahi's you-can-do-it positivity and plenty of model-pretty photos, which is just one reason we're eager to check it out. Not only have we always liked the man because he seems equally at ease with morning TV personalities and Milan's glitteriest glitterati -- no mean feat -- but he just has common sense when it comes to helping make people look good, even if they aren't blessed with catwalk-level cash. We don't mind saying that we're mad about our Mizrahi for Target pants. In fact, we bought two pairs a couple years back, and now we're wishing we plunked down a few more dollars for a third. Lesson learned, and we're ready to learn more. Open our eyes, Isaac. Open our eyes.
