Prancing Pups, Please Woof Away Our Woes

Gregory Popovich has made a bark-worthy brand for himself in Sin City entertainment, which is no small feat. But small feet had something to do with his success, small, be-clawed feet that dance and balance and do other nifty, crowd-wowing tricks. Popovich and his performers -- a bevy of exceedingly brilliant cats and dogs -- have become a favorite in Las Vegas, where the World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is a stand-out. (Quick, how many Vegas-located animal shows can you name that are much less expensive than the splashy spectaculars? Or even shows starring animals?)

Mr. Popovich, who was raised in the circus, leads his 15 kitties and 10 tail-waggers through a cavalcade of how'd-they-even-*learn*-that routines. Will a cat push a dog in a baby stroller? Will a dog deliver the mail? Whatever goes down, expect the sweet beasties to be on their marks and eager to complete the task.

We've added a daily dose of dog-related fun to our '09 resolutions (we love our nine-live'd friends, too, but they give us the sneezies). Study after study after study says the same thing -- animals=lower stress -- and that's something we can all get into...
