Snooze Where Garbo Dozed

Nope, you don't have to go somewhere else to stay in a bed and breakfast. It does not have to be tucked away in some woodsy copse, or sandy cove. You can, in fact, find several charming overnight-eries right here in our very own teeming metropolis, and though some may sit on some of our busiest streets, the quaintness stays firmly intact.

That's why we're snuggling up to Gridskipper's list of LA-based bed and breakfasts, particularly the Cinema Suites, a 1930s-ish, oh-so-Spanish-tile-y building smack dab at the spot where San Vicente meets Fairfax (okay, maybe not smack dab, but a few dozen feet north of smack dab).

Have you sat and looked at the beautiful, old-Hollywood building with all the roses in front as you wait for the light to change at that intersection? We have, too. Turns out mega stars like Greta Garbo have stayed there. Fabulous. And you can walk to Little Ethiopia (injera), the museums (art), Tom Bergin's (Irish coffee), Molly Malone's (beer).

A Valentine's Day close to home? Choice.
