There's something fascinating about stars playing golf, maybe above all other sports. And we say this as fans of any sports show that puts a celebrity behind the wheel of a race car or on a trapeze.
Maybe it is because, with golf, you see the star, usually on the move from the paparazzi, or acting, or dancing with the other stars, standing still and concentrating. Just feels... quiet, something that Hollywood typically is not.
The Paley Center, that vault of all things television, puts on its Celebrity Golf Classic every year, drawing big small-screen names; while the rosters change from year to year, familiar faces, like Peter Gallagher of "The OC," return regularly.
