Two people were arrested Sunday in connection with a series of dental lab burglaries.
Authorities said 38-year-old Matthew Marchman and 29-year-old Shawna Lerer stole precious metals used to fill cavities. Anaheim police Sgt. Rick Martinez said burglaries have been reported at 18 Orange County dental labs since November.
Police said vehicles were stolen and destroyed in two of the burglaries.
Officers took Marchman into custody outside a dental lab. Martinez said he was carrying a crowbar.
Lerer fled in a car, but was apprehended, Martinez said.
