6/19: Tequila, Samba at the Ford, Kweller

TEQUILA TASTING: It's amber, it's golden, it's thick or kind of viscuous or thin and tasty and packing plenty of kick. It's tequila, and even if you feel you know your stuff, there's probably something someone at San Antonio Winery can surprise you with. Plus, dinner's in that historic nook-and-cranny-filled winery. Excellent. Dinner and tasting $80. 7PM

SAMBAS GREET SUMMER: A bit of shimmying and some bossanova sways and feeling the music all around is the order of the evening as the 16th Annual Brazilian Nites Festival dances into the Ford Amphitheatre. It is the first weekend of summer, after all. This is the perfect way to say ola. 8PM

TUNES ALL OVER TOWN: Ben Kweller is at El Rey Theatre; Todd Rundgren plays Club Nokia; and Shawn Mullins is at The Mint. "Lullaby" is still one of the great local songs. Sonny & Cher get shout-outs, and Fairfax Ave, too. Oh, and Seeger. Solid.
