Maybe the "moonlight" part can't always be guaranteed -- after all, that famous June-Gloom-y marine layer can sometimes roll in at nightfall, or those iconic Hollywood, sky-brightening searchlights -- but the wine and jazz will definitely be there.
"There" is Hollywood & Highland, and the occasion -- or occasions, rather -- is Wine.Jazz.Moonlight. It's a summertime Tuesday-night to-do, and the upshot is simple and money-nice: $10 nabs you two different glasses of wine and crackery snacky snacks. The listening-to-smooth-tunes part is gratis.
The money goes to Project Angel Food.
W.J.M. opens for 2010 on Tuesday, June 8 and runs every Tuesday through August 31. KJAZZ 88.1 is behind the music end of the program. We think it is an excellent before-your-movie-or-dinner to-do.
