TRUTHS: Truffles are some of the knobbiest things in this known universe; we challenge anyone to come up with a knobbier, tastier food. There's no better addition to eggs than truffle salt. And final truth: People who like this fanciful fungi will go to distances to sup upon the subterranean savory.
MICHELIN CHEFS: On Dec. 10-12, 2010, those distances will take many trufflests straight to Napa, where there will be a 13 Michelin Star Truffle Dinner. Several Michelin Star chefs will be focusing on all things truffle; there will be demos and there will be vino and oh, the eating. Knobby-ness at its nicest. Two charities will benefit: The Hunger Project and Feeding America. But if you can't attend the dinner, there are a host of various to-dos and ticket levels, so check out the full roster.
TRUFFLE SHAVER: We couldn't resist going with the photo above. It is an interesting implement, and pretty rare in most kitchens. However if you own one, then we do doff our caps to you, dear trufflean. You won't need to pack your shaver for the weekend, but you will need to get to the Westin Verasa in Napa.
