One person was injured and 11 cars were burned in a fire that broke out between two carports in Duarte Monday evening.
The flames were reported about 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of Las Lomas Road and were extinguished by about 45 firefighters in 30 minutes, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman.
One person was treated at the scene for unspecified injuries and released, Pittman said. Four other people were evaluated for smoke inhalation.
A total of 11 cars were engulfed by the flames, he added.
Investigators were summoned to the scene to determine the cause, Pittman said.
Authorities are considering arson as a cause for the flames.
