A Ramona woman and her unborn child died Sunday in a collision along San Vicente Road. The other driver involved in the crash fled the scene, parked his car and hired a Lyft driver before he was tracked down and arrested, officials said.
Jessica Foderingham, 32, was eight months pregnant, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner. Her family told NBC 7 she had just gotten married in August.
Her husband, a distraught Marine, posted heartfelt messages on Facebook following the crash, saying, "My heart, my world, my best friend, was taken from me."
Foderingham was driving a Dodge Dart along San Vicente Road at approximately 6:46 p.m. when her car was struck from behind by a 2011 GMC Yukon.
Andrew Milonis, 44, was behind the wheel of the Yukon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The impact sent the Dodge into the center divider area where it collided with a tree. Foeringham died from injuries suffered in the collision.
Milonis fled the scene, CHP Officer Kevin Pearlstein said.

Pearlstein said Milonis parked his vehicle and then hired a Lyft. The driver, Kyle Gammon, said Milonis looked visibly distraught when he picked him up.
"I could tell that he knew that he messed up, he did something really bad, just from his demeanor," Gammon said.
They drove right by the scene of the crash, he said.
"When we passed the accident scene, I was like 'did you crash here man' and he said, 'no, don't worry about that,'" Gammon recalled.
Gammon said Milonis never actually told him what happened to his car, but kept repeating that he was scared and scared of what would happen to him.
Gammon drove him to the Turkey Inn Bar on 716 Main Street, where officers arrested him.
Milonis was booked into the county jail on charges of driving under the influence causing death, felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter.
The suspect was driving with a suspended/revoked license, NBC 7 has learned. Milonis' wife told NBC 7 he suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2008.
A vigil will be held at the crash site on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. to honor the victim.
