Casino Winner Shot, Robbed Outside Gardena Chevron

The male victim had just won cash from a casino and was being followed by at least three people.

Police are looking for three robbers who ambushed a man early Wednesday at a Gardena fuel station and stole cash that he won at a casino.

The robbery and shooting occurred around 4 a.m. in front of the Chevron gas station at Rosecrans Avenue and Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division.

The male victim won cash from a casino and was being followed by the suspects, who robbed and shot him. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The robbers were last seen in a gray SUV that was driving eastbound on Rosecrans from Vermont. Security camera video shows the assailants confront the man in the parking lot before driving off in a small sport utility vehicle.
