A major crash involving a semi-truck and several cars shut down lanes of the westbound and eastbound sides of the 60 Freeway in Monterey Park Tuesday ahead of the evening commute.
The crash occurred near Atlantic around 3:45 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., three lanes on the westbound and eastbound sides were closed after the big rig and another car crashed into the median.
The crash was cleared around 7 p.m.
It appeared that at least six vehicles, including the big rig, were involved.
Two left lanes were still blocked on the westbound side of the 60 Freeway, leaving traffic heavy from Peck Road.
Traffic on the eastbound side was slow from the 710 Freeway.
