An investigation into a suspicious package that turned out to be equipment snarled Friday night traffic in downtown Los Angeles.
The package was sitting near Sixth and Hill streets, Los Angeles police said.
The scene was cleared before 7 p.m., but traffic was backed up for miles on freeways surrounding downtown LA.
