A magnitude-4.9 earthquake was reported Monday morning off the Baja California peninsula.
The earthquake was centered in the Gulf of California about 45 miles southeast of San Felipe, Mexico, a coastal city about 120 miles south of the U.S.-Mexico border. The quake was reported at 5:23 a.m. PT.
There have been no reports of significant damage. Weak shaking was reported in San Felipe.
