Fight Leads to Man's Stabbing Death in West Hollywood

Police say a verbal argument escalated into a physical one, leading to the victim's stabbing.

A man was stabbed to death Sunday in West Hollywood.

The attack occurred a little before 1:15 a.m in the 7100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, said Deputy Wally Bracks of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

"Investigators learned that there was a verbal argument between the victim and an unknown person," Bracks said.

"The verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed at least one time on his upper body."

Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, he said. The suspect ran in an unknown direction and a murder weapon has not been recovered.
