A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame honoring the Emmy-winning co-star of the science fiction series "The X-Files" Gillian Anderson will be unveiled Monday.
Series creator Chris Carter, television producer Bryan Fuller and actor Joel McHale will join Anderson in speaking in the 11:30 a.m. ceremony in front of the Fox Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.
Anderson appeared in two series created by Fuller, "Hannibal" and "American Gods." McHale guest-starred in two episodes of "The X-Files" in 2016.
The star is one star away from Anderson's "The X-Files" co-star David Duchovny, who is unable to attend the ceremony because of a prior commitment, according to Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony comes two days before the second episode of the 11th season of "The X-Files," which initially ran from 1993-2002.
The star is the 2,625th since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961 with the first 1,558 stars. The ceremony will be livestreamed on walkoffame.com.
Anderson received outstanding lead actress in a drama series Emmy nominations from 1996-99, winning in 1997, for her portrayal of FBI Special Agent Dana Scully.
