Two vehicles collided on a road to Malibu Friday morning, briefly closing the road on a rainy morning, authorities said.
One person was injured in the 7:25 a.m. collision on Malibu Canyon Road, south of the tunnel, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman and a City of Malibu Emergency Services news release. One lane of the road was later opened, and cars were being allowed to pass the incident one at a time.
Malibu Canyon Road connects the 101 Freeway with Malibu and Pepperdine University. Pepperdine's School of Law was having its commencement ceremony Friday at 10:30 a.m.
A motorcycle crashed on Malibu Canyon Road on May 2, when Pepperdine's Seaver College was having its comencement service.
