WOMAN'S BODY FOUND INSIDE MOTORHOME IN ORANGE COUNTY TOWYARD

The decomposing body of a woman has been found inside the refrigerator of a motorhome in a tow yard in Capistrano BeachOrange County investgators believe the remains could be those of a 21-year-old woman who went missing in Temecula in June 2007.   The RV belongs to the missing woman's father, who is being held in Las Vegas on unrelated charges.  (NBC Los Angeles)

HEARING IN MYSPACE CASE

A hearing was held this morning in LA Federal Court in the case against a Missouri woman accused of taunting her daughter's classmate on the social networking site MySpace.  The Judge ruled that the case can move forward despite defense requests to drop the case.

GOVERNOR IN LA TO DISCUSS BUDGET CUTS

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is in Los Angeles today to discuss the state's budget and his proposed cuts.   The Governor is going to announce the creation of a bipartisan commission to address the state's chronic budget problems...and to attempt to modernize the state's tax laws.

ENDANGERED TURTLE RELEASED AFTER REHAB

An endangered green sea turtle is being released back into the wild today after being rehabilitated at the Aquarium of the Pacific.  The sea creature was trapped in an intake channel in August.  It was treated for broken bones and cuts before being released back into the ocean today after two months of treatment.

HUNDREDS LINE UP TO VOTE EARLY IN NORWALK

Hundreds of voters lined up early today at the LA County registrar's office in Norwalk to cast their ballot.   Elections officials are swamped with last minute vote-by-mail requests...and thousands of LA County voters may nor receive their mail-in ballots in time to actually return them by election day.   

AFTERNOON PRESS CONFERENCE IN FOSSETT CASE

The Sheriff of Madera County will hold a press conference this afternoon to discuss the latest developments in the recovery of the remains of adventurer Steve Fossett.  No details will be released before the 4pm news conference...it is unclear what new developments there are in the case.

SANTA MONICA CRACKING DOWN ON EXERCISE SCOFFLAWS

The city of Santa Monica has had enough of people excercising in public.  Specifically...on the grass medians along 4th Street near Adelaide Drive.  Residents in the area complain that exercisers are crowding the median...bringing all sorts of excercise equipment with them.  Police are warning the exercisers that that they're violating a city ordinance.  The city will hold a public meeting on the issue tonight.  (LA Times)
