A preliminary 2.8-magnitude earthquake shook the Northridge area on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor hit at 9:45 a.m. about 2 miles east southeast of the Northridge area.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
