A 6-year-old boy was killed Wednesday when a car slammed into a pole in Inglewood, police said.
The crash near the intersection of Prairie and Grace avenues was reported at 9:46 p.m., said Inglewood police Lt. Mark Fried.
The man driving the car, in which the child was passenger, was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately available, Fried said.
Police are conducting a criminal investigation in connection with the crash, Fried said.
