7.0 Earthquake Hits Japan

No tsunami warnings have been issued

 A 7.0 magnitude earthquake shook Japan southeast of Honshu, about 300 miles south-southwest of Tokyo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake hit around 2:30 p.m. local time, about 9:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. No tsunami warnings have been issued.
