Two Children Among Seven Hurt in South LA Crash

Seven people were injured in a crash near the intersection of Main Street and Florence Avenue in South LA on Sunday evening

Seven people were hurt, including two children and one critically-injured woman, in a four-vehicle crash Sunday in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The crash took place about 6:15 p.m. outside 7111 Main St., department spokeswoman Amy Bastman said.

Nearly 70 firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene, Bastman said.

At least one woman, 48, was pulled out of one of the vehicles. She was listed in critical condition.

A 2-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy were hurt. Both of them were last listed in fair condition, Bastman said.

Among the others injured: a 48-year-old man was listed in fair condition; another man, 42, was listed in fair condition; a 26-year-old woman was reported to be in serious condition; and a 26-year-old man was listed in fair condition.

The cause of the crash was being investigated by Los Angeles police.
