Driver in Critical Condition After San Bernardino Shooting

The driver crashed into a wall around Blakely Community Center after the shooting

A man is in critical condition Monday morning after he was shot in the head as he was driving near Date Street and Park Avenue in San Bernardino.

The driver crashed into a wall around Blakely Community Center after the shooting, which was reported at about 2:20 a.m., police said.

Two passengers in the vehicle, a white early model Chevrolet Caprice, were not injured.

The driver, identified as a San Bernardino resident in his 20s, was transported to Loma Linda Medical Center.

The vehicle was traveling west on Date Street when round were fired from a side street, according to police. The shooting occurred about one mile from the victim's home.
