Police named a 27-year-old man Saturday as a person of interest in the killing of a man shot on a Redondo Beach street.
Erick Julian Ortega, of the South Bay, is wanted for questioning in the slaying, police said.
Bobby Darren Reynolds, 38, of Gardena, was shot multiple times Friday at 8 p.m. at Lilienthal and Ralston lanes, said Capt. Jeff Hink, of the Redondo Beach Police Department.
Police discovered Reynolds -- a husband and father -- lying in the 2400 block of Ralston Lane, Hink said.
He died at a hospital.
It appears the shooting was not random but that the victim was targeted for undisclosed reasons, Hink said.
Witnesses told police that the gunman ran to a waiting Chrysler 300 registered to Ortega.
The car sped away from the scene, traveling east. Police found the Chrysler 300 abandoned several blocks away in the 2600 block of Spreckels Lane.
Two men were seen running from the car, heading south on Inglewood Avenue, police said.
They were described as Hispanic or white and in their early 20s. One was wearing an Oakland Raiders shirt. The other was wearing a white T-shirt.
