Two women and a man were taken to hospitals with injuries Monday night after a reckless driving suspect under pursuit by sheriff's deputies crashed into another vehicle in Boyle Heights, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 7:21 p.m. in the 800 block of North State Street, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman said.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies saw the man driving recklessly in their territory and pursued the vehicle into Los Angeles Police Department turf in Boyle Heights, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff's Department's Information Bureau.

The suspect was taken to a hospital to be checked before booking and a woman in his vehicle was hospitalized for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash, Koerner said.

A man and woman from the other vehicle were also taken to hospitals for treatment of injuries. Details of those injuries were not available.
