Flowers and candles adorned the site where three people died and another was seriously hurt in a fiery car crash in Crenshaw on Sunday.

Authorities responded about 2:50 a.m. to reports of a single-vehicle wreck in the 2800 block of Coliseum Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The Cadillac Escalade was coming home from a party when it slammed into a tree and became fully engulfed in flames, officials said.

Friends identified one of the three who died as an up-and-coming rapper, whose music was playing as mourners gathered to remember the victims.

Barbara Skinner, a resident nearby said she heard a car speeding down the street just before the crash.

"Then I heard the boom," Skinner said.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene, and another man in the vehicle was still in critical condition at the hospital as of Sunday night.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and officials have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims.
