Police are actively looking for a murderer after discovering a woman’s body in a South LA trashcan Friday night.
A resident of anapartment complex near 79th Street and McKinley Avenue walked into LAPD 77th Division just after 9 p.m. and reported a possible dead body in a dumpster behind the complex, police said.
Upon arrival, officers located the body of a woman, who has been described as a female Hispanic in her 20s.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the murder happened around Thursday. Police say that it appears the person who committed the murder had done so several blocks, if not miles, away from the trash can’s current location, and had wheeled it there.
The suspect has only been described as male resident of Los Angeles. Police said they are pursuing possible leads.
