A convicted felon now faces bigamy charges after allegedly marrying two women and stealing a combined $194,000 from them, using some of the money to pay restitution on his prior felony case, Orange County prosecutors say.
Craig Stevens, 49, formerly of Rancho Santa Margarita, could be sentenced to more than 11 years in state prison if he's convicted on charges related to the case.
Stevens is already in state prison on another case but will be transported to his arraignment in Santa Ana on Friday morning.
Prosecutors said Stevens pleaded guilty last fall to embezzling $147,000 from his Costa Mesa employer and was sentenced to more than a year in prison and ordered to pay restitution.
