“EO” Mania Returns to Disneyland

Michael Jackson fans wait in line for hours to see the return of his sci-fi classic "Captain EO."

The King of Pop's 3-D thriller is back.

"Captain EO" reopened Tuesday at Disneyland. It's playing at the Tomorrowland theater -- the same place it premiere 23 years ago.

Fans began lining up outside Monday night, the Orange County Register reported. Some chanted, "E-O. E-O," when the gates opened and they headed to the film's first showing at 10 a.m.

Disney made a new print of the 17-minute film, updating the sound. The movie was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by George Lucas. It stars Jackson as "Captain EO," who is on a quest to save the world from the forces of darkness.

The film features two songs written and performed by Jackson, "We Are Here to Change the World" and "Another Part of Me."

"Captain EO" is playing for a limited engagement at Disneyland.
