The U.S. Coast Guard reported an oil spill overnight off the coast of Santa Barbara.
Coast Guard officials said the spill occurred at a platform in federal waters.
The spill was estimated at 27 barrels, according to a spokesperson for the Santa Barbara County Planning and Development Energy Division. That totals about 1,134 gallons of oil.
Authorities said they do not believe the spill will impact the shoreline.
KSBY-TV reported that by Monday afternoon, crews had cleaned about 15 to 20 barrels.
