The low temperature in Lancaster on Wednesday broke a 33-year-old record, as cold weather continued to blanket the Los Angeles region.

On Wednesday morning, it was 37 degrees in Burbank, 32 degrees in Costa Mesa and Temecula, 35 degrees in Pasadena and a record low in Lancaster with a crisp 13 degrees.
The new low temperature knocked out the previous record of 15 degrees set on Dec. 7, 1978.
"Believe it or not, right now it is 60 degrees in Philadelphia; it is 34 in Toluca Lake. It is a role reversal; a temperature reversal," said NBC4 Meteorologist Byron Miranda.
High pressure overhead will result in clear skies and nippy nights, while Santa Ana winds are expected Friday.
No special advisories were issued at this time, however Angelenos should be prepared for hard freeze conditions in some areas of Southern California overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday afternoon temperatures are expected to warm up to the mid-to-high 60s in most areas, with the mountain areas in the mid-40s.
"Temperatures for tomorrow will be cold, but not as cold as today. It's feeling like the Midwest or the Northeast or the Southeast and winter, not like Southern California," Miranda said.
