A shallow magnitude-3.2 earthquake was reported early Friday that caused shaking in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando valleys.
The quake occurred at 3:39 a.m. Its epicenter was four miles southeast of Newhall, four miles north-northwest of San Fernando and five miles north-northwest of Pacoima, according to a computer-generated report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
NBC LA Facebook page visitors reported shaking in Castaic, West Hills, Northridge and Simi Vallley.
