An abandoned home in East Los Angeles known to provide a haven for transients collapsed Friday night.
Crews combing through the wreckage said no one was inside the house at 517 S. Humphreys St. when it collapsed.
An official with Los Angeles County Fire Department Search and Rescue said the house likely buckled in on itself because of deterioration and years of neglect.

Search and rescue as well as cadaver dogs were called to the house to sniff through the rubble, but did not find any victims.
An undated image of the house from GoogleMaps' street view, pictured below, shows it in disarray, with a tarp covering the roof, piles of wood in the front yard and boards in the windows.
